Dear Sisters~
What an amazing time to be a Pittsburgher! A new year
has been bestowed upon us with the opportunity to start fresh again. At the
time I am writing this the Steelers are the Superbowl XLIII champions and
the city is buzzing with excitement. We, your leaders of Chi Chi, hope to
take advantage of the great things our region has to offer in our Spring
lineup of events. February marks MacDowell month when AXOs around
the nation embrace our roots in the arts. Accordingly, you will find our
first attempt to see what Pittsburgh has to offer in the way of collegiate
theatre. Hera Day, an AXO day of service, will not pass us by without yet
another opportunity for Chi Chi members to provide service to victims of
domestic violence right here in our town. Of course you'll find traditional
events such as potluck dinners and the Panhellenic luncheon on our
schedule as well! We hope that you'll enjoy not only what we have planned,
but also the most important part of these gatherings, the company of your
sisters. As faces come and go through the years the spirit of friendship has
remained constant in our meetings. Please remember to give a call to
someone who may need a ride or to check in on a sister who hasn't made it
to a meeting in a while. Although we are all busy, we all enjoy the outreach
of a friend every now and again. Enjoy these last few weeks of winter white
as spring buds are just around the corner!
Loyally,
Lisa Pierce
